KOTA BHARU: Kelantan has the potential to emerge as a leading hub for the Halal cosmetics industry at both the local and international levels, driven by the active participation of youth and entrepreneurs in the sector.
According to the Chairman of the Youth Committee, Zamakhshari Mohamad, Kelantan is home to many talented young individuals who are keen on business, particularly in the beauty and personal care industry.
Recently, Zamakhshari welcomed a visit from representatives of Bio Tajmeel Cosmeceutical Sdn Bhd, a local company under Perbadanan Menteri Besar Kelantan (PMBK). Bio Tajmeel specializes in producing natural-based cosmetic products using advanced biotechnology methods.
During the meeting, discussions centered on potential collaborations to strengthen the Halal cosmetics industry, which could, in turn, create more job opportunities and entrepreneurial ventures for the youth in Kelantan.
“If properly harnessed, Kelantanese youth can become pioneers in the Halal cosmetics industry, not just at the local level but also internationally,” Zamakhshari stated.
He further emphasized that with the availability of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)-certified production facilities and extensive research, Bio Tajmeel’s products are not only safe and of high quality but also serve as a viable platform for local entrepreneurs to establish their own brands.
Zamakhshari also expressed his gratitude to Bio Tajmeel for their willingness to visit and share insights on strengthening youth entrepreneurship in the Halal cosmetics industry. “Insya-Allah, today’s discussions will open more doors and opportunities for young entrepreneurs to thrive in this growing industry,” he added.
With the rising demand for Halal-certified beauty and personal care products globally, Kelantan has a golden opportunity to position itself as a key player in this expanding market. By fostering strategic partnerships and supporting local businesses, the state can establish itself as a powerhouse in the Halal cosmetics industry, attracting investors and consumers alike.
