AMMAN, Jordan – A total of 24 Jordanian companies have been officially recognised by the Jordan Standards and Metrology Organization (JSMO) for their commitment to excellence and compliance with national and global standards.
Out of the total, 16 companies received the Jordanian Quality Mark, while 8 companies were granted official Halal certification.
This recognition underscores Jordan’s continuing efforts to enhance its industrial competitiveness, promote export readiness, and support the nation’s Economic Modernisation Vision.
Certification Builds Consumer Confidence and Market Reach
Engineer Abeer Al-Zuheir, Director-General of JSMO, stated that the certification programme plays a crucial role in strengthening consumer trust, improving product quality, and enhancing competitiveness both domestically and globally.
“These certifications are a recognition of the companies’ commitment to meeting high standards and reflect the strong cooperation between the public and private sectors in advancing the national economy,” she said during the handover ceremony in Amman.
Al-Zuheir highlighted that JSMO’s certification framework facilitates the smooth flow of trade, increases access to new markets, and boosts the reputation of Jordanian products abroad.
Halal Certification Gains International Recognition
She further noted that Halal certification has become one of the world’s most sought-after quality marks, thanks to its strong reputation for trust and authenticity among global consumers.
JSMO recently obtained international recognition for its halal certification scheme — a milestone that reinforces Jordan’s position as a reliable and trusted source for halal products.
In addition, the organisation is preparing to launch the Eco Label, an internationally recognised environmental certification designed to help Jordanian products enter global markets through sustainable and eco-friendly practices.
Strengthening Collaboration with Local Industry
Al-Zuheir reaffirmed JSMO’s commitment to working closely with factories and enterprises to identify certification needs and technical specifications required to penetrate international markets.
She encouraged local manufacturers to maintain continuous engagement with JSMO to align with best practices, enhance product integrity, and strengthen Jordan’s competitive edge globally.

Company representatives receiving the certificates expressed appreciation for JSMO’s professionalism and technical expertise, commending the organisation’s role in supporting Jordan’s economy through its quality infrastructure — including standardisation, inspection, testing, metrology, accreditation, and certification services.
