MANILA, Philippines — The Islamic Da’wah Council of the Philippines, Inc. (IDCP) has formally announced the immediate revocation of Halal certification for four widely distributed canned beef loaf products.
According to an official public advisory released by the council, the affected products no longer fulfil the organisation’s stringent Halal compliance criteria. Consequently, the IDCP clarified that it can no longer guarantee the Halal integrity or permissibility of these items under its standards.

The certification withdrawal applies specifically to the following popular canned meat products manufactured by Century Pacific Food, Inc.:
- Argentina Beef Loaf (Regular)
- Argentina Beef Loaf (Hot & Spicy)
- 555 Beef Loaf
- Lucky 7 Beef Loaf

Regulatory bodies across neighbouring ASEAN nations, including Brunei’s Ministry of Religious Affairs, recently ordered retail establishments to segregate Argentina brand canned products after laboratory testing detected non-compliant DNA in specific batches.
Halal certifiers and enforcement agencies emphasise that cross-contamination risks and ingredient sourcing inconsistencies require immediate corrective measures to safeguard Muslim consumers.
